David Lloyd-Mostyn has been awarded funding by the Bliss Trust to complete the commission of Cheshire Phantasies for the flute, oboe & piano trio, Intriplicate. More information on this story can be found in the February section of archive news.

David's piece Negru Moj Mahude is being used on Fulcrum TV's new programme, My Famous Family, to be aired on UKTV History from Tuesday 16th May.

David Lloyd-Mostyn's composition Jargonvox will receive it's world premiere at Leeds Town Hall on Wednesday 12th April 2006, 7:30pm. Mike Brewer directs the National Youth Choir of Great Britain following the culmination of their composition prize for young choral composers.

David Lloyd-Mostyn has been commissioned by Intriplicate to add a new piece to the Flute, Oboe & Piano trio repertoire, after they were successfully granted funding by the Britten-Pears Foundation. Called Cheshire Phantasies, the work will be based on myths and legends surrounding the county of Cheshire: The Mermaid of Rostherne Mere, The Ghost of Knutsford, The Cloud Hill Drummer and The Phantom Funeral of Lyme Park.

David Lloyd-Mostyn has been named as deputy Musical Director of Altrincham Choral Society. He will assume the position with immediate effect.

David Lloyd-Mostyn's latest composition, Jargonvox, is being workshopped by the National Youth Choir in London on 23rd February 2006. The session is being led by the composer Richard Allain and the choral director Greg Beardsell.

David Lloyd-Mostyn has been appointed assistant conductor at Warrington Youth Orchestra. He will take up the position from January 2006.

David Lloyd-Mostyn's Christmas Alleluia received it's world premiere during the live Midnight Mass broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 24th December 2005.
Benjamin Saunders directed the choir of
Leeds Cathedral.
